    What does it mean when

What does it mean when you randomly think of someone and hope they’re doing well? Btw I haven’t seen this person in a long time

The word “randomly” is the key.
Something most likely you saw or heard triggered the thought or reminded you of them.
In other instances when people are bored/unhappy they think of better times they had in the past.

I wouldn’t take it as “sign”.
Odds are this person isn’t thinking about you.

Now if all of sudden they reach out to you….
    That would something different!

The fact that they are on your mind tells me you care about them and want them to be well. I would take that as a sign you miss them.

I don’t think it’s so much random. I thought so about a guy friend of mine years ago when something triggered a thought of him and it turned out, it was because he had a special place in my mind and heart. He still does.

Nothing, we all have brains and we cross over memories, its like deva-vu, it doesn’t mean anything other than something made you think of that memory. Maybe something you saw, a dream, a smell a taste, its just the brain working as normal… that being said if you can’t STOP of thinking about them then that is a different story!

    Usually something triggers a memory.
